Bristol Crossroads Transgender Support Group The Bristol Crossroads group has been supporting the transgender community in and around Bristol, under various names, for over 25 years. The meetings are informal and provide the opportunity for all transgender people (male-to-female, female-to-male, non-binary, gender fluid, questioning) and their partners and family to meet and dress in a safe and supportive environment. There are changing facilities available for those who need them. Not all transgender people can dress at home or have the confidence to join the more public girls and boys at other venues. At a Crossroads meeting you can dress and chat with other people like yourself, learn new skills (e.g. makeup), find out about places that provide the special items that we need to make us in to the girl or boy we want to be (e.g. breastforms, clothes etc) and get information about other groups and activities that you may like to take part in.If you are taking your first tentative steps out of the closet or have only been able to dress occasionally at home but you want to meet and chat with others just like you, or your family or partner would like to chat with others in their situation, contact us and come along to a meeting. It could be the start of a whole new world. If you wish to telephone, please ring Lauren and Lesley for Crossroads enquiries on07734 261242This is NOT a helpline number, but is to provide information about the group and meetings only.
