We have received an update from Alive about The Wishing Washing Line West. This amazing project grants the wishes of residents living in care homes.
Due to Ageing Well funding, the project has been able to expand across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. Wishes are beginning to be sent in, ranging from having an indoor boules game to sitting in a plane’s cockpit, to driving a steam train. To make these wishes a reality, Alive share them with the public for community participation. This is an opportunity for anyone who wants to help others and ‘do good’ but does not have the time for regular volunteering. Granting a wish is also a way for organisations to get involved in the local community.
